I worked on this log cabin scene with a group of 4 other people. We were each assigned a main piece of furniture to complete as well as an overall list of decorations for the scene that we could work on. I was assigned the hosier cabinet (the one on the above left). We coordinated to create a cohesive scene where each piece shared a similar design.
It was a lot of fun to work on this project as a group. Together we were able to create something so much bigger than one person could ever make alone, on such a tight schedule.
Other angles

I really liked how the hard light hit each piece of furniture.

I was happy with how well adding subsurface scattering to the curtains turned out. Combined with some volumetric dust in the air to make the light scatter in a more naturally. I think it pushed the scene to a whole new level of realism.
I also was responsible for adding elements of blue, teal and indigo to different furniture pieces, which I feel helped establish a simple theme across the scene.
The Hosier Cabinet
The cabinet, as well as all the pots and pans were my main contribution to the scene, I modelled the cabinet based on a reference image I was assigned. After finishing the model, I UV mapped each of the pieces which was a time-consuming process. I then created some rigging for the drawers and cabinet doors. Next, I moved the cabinet into Substance Painter where I added the materials for the various sections. Lastly, I staged the cabinet with different items such as pots, pans, bottles and jars.
The pots and pans included a bread pan, cake pan, frying pan, square frying pan, baking sheet and more.

Next time, I'd love to create some more stylized furniture pieces and really get creative with the texturing. Exploring how to make it look cartoony or broken by Adding intentional imperfections could be a lot of fun.
